Community Centre and Day Care

This community-led initiative envisions a Community Centre and Day Care that would serve all residents of the City of West Kelowna.

A community centre with day care proposal at 2490 Shannon Lake Road, would support families by providing safe, affordable child care and would be a hub for connection, learning, and wellness. It would strengthen community bonds and promote a healthier, more inclusive neighbourhood for all.

While the West Kelowna City Council supports the community centre and its daycare in principle, recognizing its value to local families and the broader community, council is not currently prepared to move forward with further investment or expansion. Council has made a commitment to give it due consideration as a potential strategic priority in the future.

We encourage all residents to share their thoughts on the proposed community centre with daycare.
