On May 20th, the Shannon Lake Neighbourhood Association (SLNA) had the opportunity to present to City Council—highlighting our neighbourhood’s accomplishments and bringing forward important issues that matter to YOU, our residents.

SLNA President Tom Groat delivered a focused 15-minute presentation, featuring a short video, a list of priorities, and updates on key topics such as:

  • Improvements to Shannon Lake Road

  • Safety concerns in the Crystal Springs MHP

  • The need for a secondary BC Hydro power source

A strong turnout of Shannon Lake residents and SLNA Executive members filled council chambers to show support. 🙌

While time was limited, Tom made it clear—there’s much more on the community’s mind, including:

  • Traffic flow at Canyon Crest Dr. & Shannon Lake Rd.

  • The potential connection of Upper Tallus Ridge to Asquith Rd.
