Voting Begins -Wednesday, Oct 7th
Tomorrow, October 7, voting begins in the West Kelowna municipal election.
You have an opportunity to help shape the future of your community. Your vote matters when decisions are made about our roads, neighbourhoods, taxes, services, safety and quality of life.
As your Shannon Lake Neighbourhood Association (SLNA) President, Tom Groat has worked hard to listen to residents, advocate for the neighbourhood and help make our community stronger. Now, he wants to take that neighbourhood voice to City Council and continue working for residents across West Kelowna.
A couple of important voting reminders:
You will not receive a voter card in the mail. Simply go to any of the voting locations, bring your ID and cast your vote.
Advance voting: City Hall on October 7, 13 and 15, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Election Day: October 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Glenrosa Elementary, Constable Neil Bruce Middle School, Hudson Road Elementary or City Hall.
Most importantly, please take the time to vote. In 2022, fewer than one in five eligible West Kelowna residents voted. That's why every vote really does matter. An engaged community is a stronger community, and your voice deserves to be heard.
